Components used in right-angle mounted modules

Here are some links to sites selling components compatible with Blinkenlights modules where the main PCB is mounted at right angles to the panel.

The components are available elsewhere, but these examples should make it easier to find components with the correct dimensions to fit Blinkenlights designs.

• Alpha 9mm Pots - Right-Angle: Sold by Thonk.co.uk: https://www.thonk.co.uk/shop/alpha-9mm-pots-right-angle/
  Even if you don't buy from Thonk, please refer to their technical drawing, to help you buy the correct pot. Some Alpha pots have widened leads that will not fit the PCB.


• 3.5mm Stereo Jack Socket Chassis or PCB Mounting - Sold by Brimal.co.uk: https://www.brimal.co.uk/3-5mm-stereo-jack-socket-chassis-or-pcb-mounting.html
  These can be found cheaper on eBay by searching '3.5mm jack socket pcb' but if you buy from eBay refer to the dimensions listed on Brimal, and make sure to buy the version with a threaded socket and nut.


• Audio Jack - 3.5mm (Panel Mount): Sold by Sparkfun.com: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11154
  As with the PCB mounted socket, these can be found cheaper on eBay by searching '3.5mm mono chassis jack socket'


• Miniature SPDT toggle switch, On - On, for M6 or 1/4" mounting hole: sold by Kitronik.co.uk https://www.kitronik.co.uk/c3423-miniature-spdt-toggle-switch.html
  Kitronik sells these at a good price but the switches are also very prevalent on eBay
